Great Web and Youtube Shows We Have Lost Over the Years

I have been watching internet web shows and podcasts for quite some time. During this time I have seen some of my favorite shows disappear. These where not your typical television programs. These where shows with people who where much more relateable than your typical television "perfectly scripted" people. Most of them where just regular Jills and Joes that loved to podcast. There are a few exceptions to this rule, however I can still identify with them much more than some overly produced television show. Below is a list of some of the shows that have come and gone.... RIP, you will be missed. (Bows Head)

Buzz Out Loud: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qsYmzgx5fik
This tech news show was a daily, and then briefly a weekly, show that was all about technology. You had, Molly Wood, Tom Merrit, Natali Del Conte, Donald Bell, Brian Cooley, Brian Tong, Rafe Needleman, Jason Howell and so many more regular guests on the show all providing color commentary on present technological news. Although this was a conversational news podcast, the tone was very lighthearted often focusing on some of the more funny and odd stories in technology. Most of these people still work at Cnet too, so if your lucky you can catch them on some of CNET's other fine programs, like "The 404".

Ask A Ninja: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UNwrRkkjlHA
Confessions of a modern day ninja. Learn all about how ninjas use black dragons blood to dye their jumpsuits, sweet nun-chuck skills and why ninjas are the most deadly things on the planet. This is just so hilarious. I had no idea that ninjas where as deadly as the ninja illustrates to us. I was very sad to see this one go.

Soccergirl Inc: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=19bUiWOmCYI
Ok, take this gorgeous woman, stir in videogames, He-Man, Sherri Moon Zombie & a killer sense of humor. She was the Weird Science girl for the modern internet generation and the source of all of my knowledge on women. Plus, shes's dreamy, like a my little pony made of woman flesh, but also taken. ♥╭╮♥ Dream on nerds! Ha

Hope is Emo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMvMzQ4Vu-8
The most sad and depressed girl on the planet video tapes her sadness in this pseudo video diary series. Remember that emo girl you sat next to in art class who never would talk to you? This is that girl x 10. A very funny series. You really owe it to yourself to watch.

Joe Genius: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpHdPn0vW2s
This is what Bill Nye would have been like had he been combined with Americas funniest videos. Every episode you had some crazy science experiments going on. This was very much so a "don't try this at home" type of show. This stuff also never gets old, like having Michael Bay's demolition crew as your friends.

Epic-Fu (Formerly Known as JETSET): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ClI4dN8dKA
What a great little niche web series about crazy and hip internet things and counterculture. Zadi Diaz was an very energetic host with a very warm personality. The editing on this show was also very well done, with clever cuts and jump tos. This was basically what all the cool kids where watching in 2009.

ROFL:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g-LOIvuBezU
Andy Ericson of ROFL
Standup comedy from the trenches. In this mash up video series hosted by Alex Koll, there was a never ending reservoir of comedic talent. My personal favorite comic from the show was Andy Ericson. How are you not in pictures makin me laugh Andy?

CO-OP: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0Ciu3uC-L4
Another great web series about gaming. This show separated itself from the other multitudes of gaming podcasts through a great third person narrative during most of the segments. They also where not just playing video games, there were lots of little side bits and segments.  CO-OP also had great lengthy episodes letting us get to know our characters/hosts. The Seinfeld of gaming.

Weekly Freekly and Hatchet Action News: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONwFh0Wj1fM
Your favorite hatchet warriors as their news room persona's, Fats Pepper and Guy Gorfey. For fans of ICP, this show is a must see. Even if you think you know ICP, check this out, very funny.  Y U NO MAKE MORE?!?! ლ(ಠ益ಠლ)

Play Value: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1q9JKmuVUI
Want to know the history of games? Then do I have the perfect show for you, its Play Value! Every important milestone and noteworthy event of gaming is covered in this web show. Think of this show as if the History Channel covered only gaming. Play Value is also perfect for you students out there looking for great essay material.

Erin Gibson of Infomania
Infomania Podcasts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WB7AOdVe3wU
Infomania was a great TV show brought to us from Current TV, a company that has just recently been bought up by Al Jazeera. Long before this sale happened though, they had a show called Infomania. This was a great comedy fueled entertainment show in the same vein as "The Soup" with Joel Mchale but with more on location bits & segments. The hosts of infomania where also insanely talented. Brett Erlich, Sarah Haskins, Conor Knighton, Brian Safi, Erin Gibson, Ben Hoffman & Sergio Cilli where have you gone! Shame on you Current TV.....Shame. ಠ︵ಠ.... Cancel my show.

G4 Webshows: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pXx-TRXHQrg
If you didn't know, G4 did a lot of podcasting in addition to their broadcasting. Of course this was a great umbrella for all things geek. There where a lot of shows too including: Fresh Ink, Feedback, Sesslers Soapbox as well as highlights from the TV shows. I still miss these guys and gals.

Your Dungeon My Dragon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_cxYKDRqYo
Although this show, created by Adam de la Pena, is technically not an Internet show, it was free on Xbox live for some time which I believe counts. This show is basically a comedy cartoon in the style of a 16 bit gaming system graphics & set in a traditional fantasy role playing game. For those of you familiar with the G4 show "Code Monkeys" then you will love this. It could fit very well in the Adult Swim schedule of programs. Very funny.

The Meth Minute:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_43-yxsPbM
Dan Meths animation show was so fun, like how SNL's TV Funhouse used to be. The humor was adult but still for a wide enough audience that many could appreciate it. I loved the upbeat nature of it all. He also gave us regular content, so it was never more than a week or two before you got a new cartoon. I still see his work from time to time on various sites. He actually just did a cartoon for College Humor entitled "Virgin Galactic" if your curious, so he is still around, just not doing the Meth Minute gig.

Channel Refrigerator: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KDnAB98lfnM
This was a podcast/YouTube channel that provided cartoons from around the planet. Each episode was about 10 minutes or longer with a few cartoons to see per episode. It was like opening a fortune cookie because you never knew what you where in for. One week could be mostly funny and the next week could be completely serious stuff.  I highly recommend this to fans of any kind of animation. Its like the thrift store, but with animation. I dare you to not walk out of something here that you don't like.
